The Welcome Month is offered by Giggle & Learn, the Approved Provider of our early learning centres.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Giggle & Learn. "You" means the parent or guardian who books the Welcome Month. "Your centre" means the Giggle & Learn centre you are enrolling your child at.
The Welcome Month is four weeks for your child to settle in at your centre with a dedicated team of educators. We verbally discuss your child's progress or call you after every session. We may also share a written update and photos, and you can follow your child's day through the OWNA app.
It is part of how we welcome and settle every new child into care. It is not a trial period or a promotion.
Here is how the four weeks usually run. We adjust to your child's pace.
The Welcome Month is the way we welcome and settle a new child into the Giggle & Learn family. It is not a discount or a loyalty reward. It is for children starting at your centre for the first time, and does not apply to children already enrolled with us. To book:
The Welcome Month runs over four consecutive weeks from your child's first session.
There is nothing to pay for the days included in the four-week Welcome Month. No fees, no deposit, no holding fee.
Your child is enrolled with us from Day 1 so they are covered for ratios and insurance under our duty of care. This enrolment is for that cover only. It does not start your fees.
There are no fees for the days included in the four-week Welcome Month, so the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) does not apply to it. There is nothing to subsidise.
CCS applies to your fees once enrolment is confirmed and fees begin. The amount depends on your eligibility and the government's rules.
You can stop the Welcome Month at any time during the four weeks. There is nothing to pay and no obligation to enrol.
If you decide not to enrol at the end of the four weeks, there is nothing more to pay. Your place may then be offered to the next family waiting.
The Welcome Month works both ways. We may end it early if we believe we are not the right fit for your child, or where we need to for a child's safety, wellbeing or our duty of care. We will talk with you first whenever we can. If this happens, there is nothing to pay.
If you confirm enrolment, your ongoing care, fees and notice periods are set out in the enrolment agreement you sign. From that point, the enrolment agreement applies, not this page.
You complete our payment setup, including a direct debit request (DDR), at the end of the four weeks when you confirm enrolment, before your fees begin.
During the four weeks we give you a verbal update or call you after every session. We may also share photos and a written update with you as your child's parent or guardian, both directly and through the OWNA app.
We handle your personal information under our Privacy Policy. Any use of your child's photos beyond your own updates is covered by the consent you give in the enrolment paperwork.
The Welcome Month is an ongoing part of how we welcome new children. It does not have a closing date. We may change or withdraw it at any time. A change or withdrawal does not affect a Welcome Month already underway.
We may also update these terms from time to time. The version shown on this page when you book is the version that applies to you.
If you have any questions about these terms and conditions, or about the Welcome Month, call your local centre. You will find each centre's phone number on our website.
